SECURITY OPERATIONS PRS30103
Certificate III in
Security Operations PRS30103 (Armed Guard and Cash in Transit)
is a dual course covering all units required for licensing of
Cash in Transit and Armed Guards. This course is designed to
train security guards who wish to work in cash and transit,
patrols and high risk sectors of the security industry. This
course teaches you how to pre-plan your operations to avoid
any injury to yourself and others.
Please note: You can
choose to complete Armed Guard or Cash in Transit as
individual or dual qualifications. It is a licensing
requirement that all security guards carrying out the
activities of an Armed Guard or Cash in Transit Officer
complete the relevant qualification specific to that activity.
PREREQUISITES
All participants
must have a current Certificate II in Security Operations
PRS20103 or have applied for RPL for previous qualifications
completed.

BATON & HANDCUFF
(Baton & Handcuffs can be conducted as an individual course)
This component of
the course will enable the security officer to confidently
handle the baton and handcuffs. It is important to remember
that an officer must be trained in the proper usage of this
equipment; otherwise they will be illegally handling the
equipment and can be fined.
This component of the course will
train participants to perform the role of a cash in transit
officer including; CIT loading and unloading in an unsecured
environment and using, test and inspecting CIT security
equipment.
FIREARM
QUALIFICATION
(Firearms can be conducted as an individual course)
This component of
the course is designed to train armed security officers in the
correct application of their firearm.

Qualification Upgrade Course
If you have already completed
Certificate III in Security Operations, you only need to
complete the following seven day course:
Monday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm (7
days)
Batons and Handcuffs ONLY Tuesday
and Wednesday, 10am to 5pm (2 days)
Firearms ONLY Monday,
Thursday and
Friday, 10am to 5pm (3 days)
Requalification Course
If you are already licensed for
armed guard and / or cash-in-transit, you only need to
complete the requalification course:
Armed Guard - Tuesday 10am -2pm,
Wednesday and
Friday, 10am - 5pm
Cash-in-Transit - Tuesday 10am
-2pm, Thursday
10am - 5pm and Sunday, 2pm - 5pm
