CERTIFICATE II IN
SECURITY OPERATIONS PRS20103
This is your
first step to gaining employment in the security industry.
Certificate II in
Security Operations PRS20103 is the entry level requirement
for licensing of both Unarmed Guards and Crowd Controllers.
Accredited by the Licensing Services Division of Victoria
Police, this course involves both practical and theory based
units.
After successful
completion of this course you will have the knowledge and
skills to effectively watch, guard and protect the community
and their assets with the highest level of professionalism and
integrity.
This course is
conducted face-to-face in a classroom environment as this the
most effective method of conducting such a highly interactive
course. It also is the preferred method of training by
employers as you will be better prepared and have more
confidence when confronted with the day to day duties as a
security officer. I.S.T.A does not conduct course via video.
Course fees include; face-to-face
training and assessment, all course material and manuals, and
printing of your Certificate II in Security Operations
statement of attainment.

COURSE
DURATION
Fulltime course: Monday to
Friday, 10am to 5pm (2 weeks)
Evening course: Monday to
Friday, 6.00pm to 10.00pm (3 weeks)
Weekend course: Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm (5 weeks)
STANDARD REQUIREMENT BY THE VICTORIAN POLICE AND I.S.T.A
After completing a
two
week
course with International Security Training Academy students
will receive a Certificate of Attainment which will
enable them to get their Crowd Control and Unarmed Security
Guard licence. All students will require 12 months work
experience within the security industry, in which time I.S.T.A
will assess their on the job performance. Once completing
this stage,
students will complete further training, fulfilling all
licensing requirements and gaining a full Certificate II and
III in Security Operations.
Free information
seminars are conducted every second Monday night between 5.30pm and 6.30pm at
our Head Office: Lower Ground Floor, 51 Queen Street, Melbourne.
95% of I.S.T.A
graduates from this course gain work within a few weeks of
receiving their security license.
