TERRORISM TRAINING - PREVENTION AND RESPONSE
Security personnel in Victoria
have been enlisted in the fight against terrorism in an
initiative called Project Griffin. Building upon on-going work
with the security industry, the Victorian Police and State
Government have pioneered Project Griffin to further raise
awareness of counter-terrorism.

required in the event of a terrorist attack in Australia.
Project Griffin was developed by
the Victoria Police Counter Terrorism Coordination Unit to
raise awareness and understanding in the prevention and
response to terrorism. The police terrorism training program
deals with three important areas: Terrorism prevention and
response; terrorism and hostile reconnaissance; terrorism and
the suicide bomber.
