COURSE IN LOSS PREVENTION

The role of a Loss Prevention Officer primarily is to analyse stock shrinkage and business expenses within the retail industry.

As Loss Prevention Officer your objective will be to maximise profit of a business by reducing the amount of all losses.

Duties of a Loss Prevention Officer:

  • Investigating shoplifting, embezzlement, credit fraud and check fraud

  • Assisting Police in investigating allegations of stealing

  • Walking the floor & detecting shoplifting and to subsequently apprehend

  • Analysing stock shrinkage & business expenses within a store

  • Introduction to security control procedures & monitoring systems etc
