The name International Security Training Academy (I.S.T.A) has become synonymous with security training in Australia and has a reputation second to none. The academy is dedicated to providing the most advanced security training technology available.  

I.S.T.A was established by Tim Sell (Managing Director) in 1994 and is 100% Australian owned and a proud member of:

• Executive Committee of Victorian Security Advisory Council for Police Minister Tim Holdings

• Executive Committee of Partner in Policing with Assistant Commissioner (POLSEC)

• National Executive Training Committee of Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL)

• Victorian Executive Training Committee of ASIAL

Since our establishment, I.S.T.A has always set the standard in security training. When only three days were required to obtain a security licence, I.S.T.A demanded five days. When video and CD Rom became an accepted method of training the masses, I.S.T.A continued face-to-face training as that is what the security industry preferred.

To date, we continue to lead the way in security training and in improving the standard of the security industry as a whole.

With offices in both Melbourne and Sydney, I.S.T.A has provided training and on-going support services to in excess of 35,000 security industry personnel. I.S.T.A has also received international endorsement and has been selected by numerous government and corporate bodies to assist them in creating their own security training and risk management programs.
